CPS Location Manager

In our second career snapshot, Scott Greenwalt, Crop Production Services (CPS), talks to students about what it's like to be a location manager for CPS.

At CPS, Scott works to ensure that growers have the best yield from a crop by providing them with products and services to improve their crops. With his knowledge of things like how plants operate and how they use nutrients, he is able to be a local resource for growers.

"Our goal is to put the grower in the best possible position to make the most yield the weather allows."

Scott started working for an agriculture retailer during the summer of high school before going to college. He started as a product deliverer and worked his way up to scouting crops. Scott and others scout crops for insects that could damage the crop's yield.

Because of working for a local agriculture retailer, Scott was able to see all the different parts that play into the agriculture business.
